But man is a part of nature,
and his war against nature is inevitably a war against himself.

The Person Behind the Voice

After all the wildlife and beauty in nature I have seen, I cant imagine a world without it, but this is quickly becoming reality.
I have always appreciated nature and all the wildlife in it. It wasn't until I was older that I truly saw the impact that trash is having on the environment. I began recycling as early as age 12 and have continued ever since. However, it wasn't until I came to college that I decided to do something about the pollution I've seen.

I have created #PlasticPlague in hopes of raising awareness about the importance of reducing the amount of plastic and other trash that is being used and thrown away. In order to continue to be able to appreciate the environment, a change must be made to preserve it.

Until the big changes are made in how trash is disposed of, I will continue to do my part to reduce plastic. I will be conscious of my plastic use. I will volunteer to use my own two hands to pick up trash along side the roads. I will continue to spread the word about the dangers of plastic in the ocean and waterways and the possible outcomes that will come with the continued use.

I will be the change I want to see.

What will you do?
