Interested in Helping?
Start small with a local organization. The Watershed Committee of the Ozarks needs help keeping surrounding water resources clean from trash and pollution. They need support through donations for funding clean up projects as well as the hands of individuals to keep waters clean.
- Created 30 years ago as a result of growing concern for the drinking water supply.
- They are a non-profit organization with the mission of sustaining and improving the water resources in Springfield, MO and Greene County.
- Not only does the Watershed Committee of the Ozarks fund projects to keep water resources clean, but they allow elementary and high school teachers to bring students to the watershed center. On these trips, the students are educated on the importance of keeping drinking water clean not only for ourselves but also for the wildlife surrounding the water resources. http://watershedcommittee.org/education/wc-activity-menu/
